Naab Kunbuor is an astute legal practitioner with thirteen years of legal experience as a Lawyer. She practiced law for two years as a private legal practitioner before joining the Legal Service of Ghana as a Public Servant. Naab Kunbuor has risen through the ranks in the last eleven years from the position of Assistant State Attorney to the position of Senior State Attorney at the Ministry of Finance. She has also served as Board Secretary to the National Homeownership Fund Company Limited Board from April 2020 to date.
As part of her work at the Ministry of Finance, Naab Kunbuor has participated in drafting, reviewing and negotiating several legal documents including financing Agreements, public-private partnership agreements, investment, infrastructure and construction contracts among others with development partners, foreign banks and investors on behalf of the Government of Ghana.
She has also served as Secretary to the Ministry of Finance’s Ministerial Advisory Board and the Anti-Money Laundering and Countering of Terrorism Inter- Ministerial Committee. Naab has represented the Legal Directorate and the Ministry of Finance in a number of Committees, task forces and working groups for the drafting of legislation and policy, negotiation of bilateral investment treaties, negotiations of loan agreements and negotiation of major government project agreements as well as contributed to the development and implementation of public policy in general for the Government of Ghana.
Naab Kunbuor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science (Major) and Sociology (Minor) from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LLB) from the University of Ghana, a Qualifying Certificate in Law from the Ghana School of Law and a Master of Laws Degree (LLM) in International Law from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Massachusetts, USA. She is a member in good standing of the Ghana Bar.
